Architect since 2009 and urban planner since 2011, Tofy Semaan has over 15 years of professional experience spanning sectors and significant city-shaping and regional projects.

Semaan holds a master’s degree in Architecture (M.Arch) and master’s in Urban Planning (MUP).

Throughout his career, Semaan has collaborated with numerous international architecture firms while maintaining a strong independent practice.

As a co-founder of Umbrella Studio, he leads a multidisciplinary approach to architecture and design, fostering innovation and cross-disciplinary design thinking.

Semaan resides in Germany, where he moved to in 2018 with his family. His multilingual skills allow him to seamlessly navigate diverse cultural and professional landscapes, facilitating successful collaborations on a global scale.
